The Massachusetts Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is collaborating with the Massachusetts Computing Attainment Network (MassCAN) to develop voluntary Computer Science Standards for Massachusetts schools.  A panel of 30-35 members will review existing standards and present its recommendations to the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education next winter.  Those with relevant experience — including educators, school administrators, community members, business personnel, and researchers — are encouraged to apply.  Applications to be on the panel must be emailed to ademallie@doe.mass.edu by May 16.  For further information, see application or email mathscitech@doe.mass.edu.
