MIT Lincoln Labs: Science on Saturday, Dec. 7

The first session of this year’s MIT Lincoln Labs’ Science on Saturday series, Hands-On Science, will be Saturday, December 7.  These are fun, free sessions are given by volunteer scientists and engineers for K-12 students, their parents, and teachers.  In this session, members of the Lincoln Laboratory Technical Women’s Network will speak.  The event features hands-on activity stations where students can use radar to measure the speed of a ball they throw, help build a tall gumdrop tower using engineering concepts, and find out about technology that measures specific biological features.

Pre-registration is required (online, by 12:30AM Saturday) for each session:  9AM-10:30AM and 10:45AM-12:15PM.  Parent/adult escort is required for all children, and registered adults must bring a government form of identifcation.  Electronic devices are not allowed in the facility.  Map and driving directions to MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
