The New England Sci-Tech STEM education center hosts the Sci-Tech Amateur Radio Society, which offers a wide range of events and courses. Their Introduction to Morse Code course will take place online on seven Mondays, 7:30PM-8:30PM, November 23 to December 28. The cost is $30 ($15 for members of STARS or NEST).

FSU Virtual Planetarium: Solar System Explorers, Ages 5-8, Nov. 24
The Christa McAuliffe Center at Framingham State University will hold a live, virtual, interactive session of Solar System Explorers for ages 5-8 on November 24, 4PM-5PM. Free Screenings of Film ‘Entangled’ About Saving North Atlantic Right Whales
On November 17, 6PM-8PM, the Harvard Museums of Science and Culture will offer a free online screening of the documentary Entangled, about efforts to save the North Atlantic right whales, followed by a Q&A webinar with the director of this award-winning film. MIT Splash Nov. 14-15: Second-Round Registration Open til Nov. 5
MIT Splash will be held virtually November 14-15, during which students in Grades 9-12 take mini-courses taught by MIT undergraduates (10AM-9PM on Saturday and 9AM-6PM on Sunday). The first-round lottery registration has ended, and now the second-round registration is open, on a first-come/first-served basis, until November 5. More info here.
Massachusetts Envirothon Goes Virtual and Hosts Webinars on Natural Resources
The Massachusetts Envirothon is a competition for teams of high school students to explore natural resources with a focus on hands-on, team-oriented problem solving and community involvement. In past years, Newton North HS’s team has performed extraordinarily well in this competition. This year, it’s all virtual, including the final competition in May.
