The Knowledge Society will host an online talk for teens, AI with Uber & Google, on April 25, 4PM-5:30PM, with the head of applied AI at Google and the former head of AI at Uber. Broad Institute Virtual Event: The Human Cell Atlas, Apr. 28

Mass Bay: Online Intro to STEM Programs and Careers, July 16
MassBay Community College in Wellesley has canceled its STEM Sampler Workshops and instead is offering an online interactive session for high-school students, teachers, and administrators to explore MassBay STEM programs and the careers they enable. Innovation Institute: Two Webinars on Viruses and COVID-19, Apr. 14 & 15
The Innovation Institute (Ti2) will present two interactive webinars, free and open to the public, to help students understand the science of viruses and COVID-19 specifically. Registration is required to get the online links to these webinars. Parental discretion is advised. Presenters will be Alex Mitchell (MS, Ti2 Instructor) and Robert Kauffman (MD, PhD, Ti2 Senior Scientist in Residence).

Ti2 is a non-profit, lab-immersive STEM learning organization for ages 5-17 during the academic year and summer. Register for Boston College Splash!, Mar. 29
Boston College will hold BC Splash on Sunday, March 29, 10AM-4PM. Splash is a one-day, student-run program in which undergraduates and graduate students teach mini-courses for students in Grades 7-12. There’s also an optional Parent Program for learning about Boston College, student life, and admissions. Registration is required, is first-come/first-served, and is open until March 27. There’s a $5 fee for the day, which includes a pizza lunch. Registrants will receive an online link for payment one week before the event. Ecotarium Launches Amusement Park Science Exhibit, Mar. 14
The Ecotarium in Worcester will host a new exhibit, Amusement Park Science, March 14 through May 10. The opening day celebration on March 14, 10:30AM-3:30PM, will feature a dozen interactive features. The event is included with paid admission to the museum.
New England Aquarium: Marine Mammals Day, March 22
The New England Aquarium will celebrate Marine Mammals Day on March 22, 10AM-3PM, with special exhibits and activities throughout the aquarium.
Hanover Theatre: 3 National Geographic Shows
The Hanover Theatre in Worcester, in partnership with the Ecotarium, will present a series of three National Geographic shows:
- March 16: The largest predatory dinosaur yet discovered
- April 9: Ancient Egypt’s women rulers
- May 14: Saving endangered species through the Photo Ark
Tickets are $35 each or $95 for the series.
Empow Studios: Free Robotics Expo, Apr. 4
Empow Studios (180 Needham Street in Newton) will host a free Robotics Expo on April 4, 3PM-5PM in honor of Robotics Week. It will feature demonstrations of robots from local businesses and FIRST Tech Challenge teams.
