The New England Aquarium‘s next public lecture, supported by the Lowell Institute, will be Into The Deepest Deep – A Conversation with Kathy Sullivan, on November 4, 6:30PM-7:30PM on Zoom. Dr. Kathy Sullivan is a scientist, astronaut, and explorer — the first American woman to walk in space and the first woman to visit the deepest known spot in the ocean, the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench.  She will her talk about her remarkable deep sea expedition and discuss the challenges of exploring this undersea environment that is in some ways harsher and less known than space.
