The solar system will be presenting a free, annular solar eclipse on June 10, just after sunrise. As viewed in Newton, it will be a partial eclipse, with the moon covering about 73 percent of the sun. It will begin before sunrise (5:07AM), reach maximum coverage at 5:33AM, and end at 6:32AM. Registration is not required. In case of clouds, the event will not be canceled but will not be visible from Newton. Follow these safety tips and never look at the sun directly, even during the eclipse.
