Registration will open (and the links below will become active) at 10AM on October 16 for the following Design and Engineering workshops in November and December at Tuft’s Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO).  Space is limited and will be assigned as paid registrations are received.

  • From Nomads to Skyscrapers!:  Grades 3-5. November 6, 13, 20; 3-5PM. Civil Engineering throughout history.  $120
  • Geometry of Design: Grades 3-5. November 4, 9AM-Noon.  Relationships between 3D geometries and how they can be used in a larger design challenge. $50
  • Robots, robots, robots!: Grades 3-5. November 4, 1-4PM. LEGO EV3 Robotics and Mindstorms programming for design challenges. $50
  • Exploring Momentum: Grades 3-5. November 11, 9AM-Noon.  Newton’s laws of momentum; build tops and sailboats. $50
  • It’s Electric!: Grades 6-8. November 18, 9AM-Noon. Basics of electricity, building circuits, engineering design process applied to an e-textiles project. $50
  • Take Apart Workshop: Grades 6-8. December 2, 9AM-Noon. Mechanical engineering principles; take apart everyday objects and reassemble them to invent something new. $50
  • Musical Engineering: Grade: K-2. December 2, 1-4PM. Connection between music and engineering; build musical instruments. $50
