Newton South HS Science Dept. Open House, May 19

The Newton South HS Science Department will hold an Open House on Monday, May 19, 4PM-7PM. The event will feature:

Open classrooms with displays of student work, including A.P. Biology projects, family chemical poster projects, and physics projects;
Demonstrations by both the Newton South Science Team and the NNHS/NSHS Robotics Team, the Ligerbots;
Sustainability/garden displays and plant sales,
Tours of the new NSHS Green Trail through the marsh (weather permitting);
A science trivia bowl with a prize for the winning team (teams of 4);
Speakers from the Conservation & Environmental Science class and the Modern Global class (highlighting their recent trip to the Galapagos), and other groups; and
An award ceremony and acknowledgements by our department chairman.
