Scratch Day events will be held worldwide on May 17, including Scratch Day MIT, 10AM-1PM, at the MIT Media Lab, 75 Amherst Street in Cambridge. The MIT event is sponsored by the Media Lab’s Lifelong Kindergarten Group open to everyone (age 5 and up). Participants can learn about the Scratch programming language, share and collaborate on their creations, and join the Scratch community through introductory activities. Cost is $10 per person; bring your own laptop (tablets won’t be sufficient). Advance registration is required. The Scratch programming language is available free at scratch.mit.edu.
