STEM Teacher of the Year: Nomination Deadline Feb. 28

The Hall at Patriot Place, sponsored by Raytheon, has extended the deadline for nominations for Massachusetts STEM Teacher of the Year until February 28.  The program will recognize a Massachusetts STEM teacher who is making significant contributions to education.  That teacher’s school will receive a $5,000 grant for STEM education, and that teacher and four other finalists will be honored at the Massachusetts STEM Summit next fall.

All full-time, active, and certified K-12 classroom STEM teachers in state-accredited Massachusetts public or private schools are eligible.  Nominations must be submitted by someone with direct knowledge of the teacher’s impact in his or her school.  Nomination forms (PDF) can be submitted by mail or e-mail and will be reviewed by a committee of STEM professionals and staff from The Hall, the New England Patriots, and Raytheon.   Five finalists will be interviewed individually by the committee, which will select the STEM Teacher of the Year.
