The Google Science Fair, a free, global, online competition for students 13 to 18, launched this week.  Submissions are due May 12, and finalists will be announced August 6 in three age categories (13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 years).  Prizes include the Science in Action award, the Computer Science award, Local awards, the Voter’s Choice award, and the Celebrate the School Prize.  Students can use the Idea Springboard search tool to help determine a project.  See googlesciencefair.com for information for participants as well as teachers and parents.
