Raytheon’s MathMovesU program will award $1,000 scholarships to 150 middle-school students nationwide for use in STEM-related summer camps or freshman year at college.  To be considered, students must submit a Powerpoint presentation by February 7 answering this question:  “Math is in the world all around us. Morning, noon, and night – how does math move you or the world around you?”   Submissions will be evaluated on creativity, originality, time commitment, and the use of math equations to answer the question.  See contest rules and application (PDF) online.
