Saturday, April 9, 2011: 8:30AM – 3:30PM at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Campus, Buzzards Bay. Sci-Tech Girl Expo, for girls in grades 9 – 12, focuses on careers in emerging fields using science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Sci-Tech Girl Expo is for girls who love these fields of study! You will meet successful women working as experts in their fields who will share their insights with you during hands-on activity sessions and during a panel discussion Q & A. The activity sessions focus on career fields in Aerospace, Environment, Marine and Medical fields. Enjoy getting to know and meet many high school girls from across the Cape and Southeastern Mass who, like you, are interested in a career in using STEM.

Guest speaker will be Dr. Susan Avery, President of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Closing remarks by Dr. Elizabeth Stevenson, Dean of Enrollment at MMA, will provide a top-ten list of college application strategies.

Enrollment fee: $20. Lunch is provided. Limited to 100 participants.
