MSMR Competition: Students to Report on Recent Scientific Advances

The Massachusetts Society for Medical Research is holding its 24th annual student competition, January 5 – May 9.   New England students in Level 1 (Grade 7-8) or Level 2 (Grades 9-12) enter by preparing (alone or in pairs) an essay, poster, or web page to explain and promote a biomedical research advance at a New England research institution in the last two years.  Entries should be aimed at an audience of teenage science students and presented in the style and spirit of MSMR’s popular science-discovery website, What a Year!, which aims to turn scientific advances into educational opportunities.  Winning students at each Level will receive cash awards, and their teachers will receive classroom education grants.  See competition details and the student packet (PDF) online.
