MIT Museum ‘Second Friday’: Living in the Future, Sept. 12

The MIT Museum will focus its next Second Friday event (September 12, 5-8PM) on “Living in the Future.”  Included with the price of museum admission:  pizza, popcorn, short clips from futuristic movies of the past, and presentations on:

  • Autonomous Cookie-baking Robots:  Mario Bollini – Chief Technology Officer and Cofounder of GRIT
  • Humans as a Multi-planet Species:  Olivier De Weck – Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Engineering Systems, MIT
  • Genetic Engineering:  Elinor Karlsson – Postdoctoral Scientist, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard
  • Robo Cheetah:  Sangbae Kim – Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Biomimetic Robotics Lab, MIT
  • 4D Printing:  Skylar Tibbits- Research Scientist. Director, Self-Assembly Lab, MIT
